Hi guys,
I thaught i'd share this remedy with anyone suffering from a sagging head liner problem. I purchased some ordinary corn starch from the supermarket
and mixed a strong mixture of 4 parts water 1 parts starch and put it into a plastic pumpable spray bottle which I got from one of those carpet cleaning places. 1) I sprayed the interior head liner untill it was fully wet (not dripping). 2) then I got a "normal" iron (not steam) and "ironing" the material into the ceiling starting from the centre of the ceiling and working outwards ( towards the back and front of car in turn)so as to get a consistently smooth finish the same technique as when you used to put clear contact on your school books avoiding air bubbles.3)once done wait a few hours for the starch to increase in strenght and your done.I performed this technique 6 mths ago on my 87 9000T and the head liner is still holding, but remember that patience in the application is the key to getting a nice uniform finish. If in doubl you can get a small "cut off" the head liner material and experiment untill you have the water/starch mixture right.
