Hello,
I have had similar problems with the ABS light coming on after cleaning wheels, washing car... car sitting for long peroids of time w/o being drivin, etc...
there are wheel sensors on each wheel as part of the ABS system, and they measure speed of each wheel in order to calculate how often to "pump the brakes" when the ABS kicks in to prevent skid...
...if a sensor is dirty or just completely INOP... it will be sensing an inconsistent speed of one wheel against the rest of the wheels... and that's why the light comes on.
If it is just a dirty sensor, sometimes after a few days they will clean themselves out... my 1990 JUST had this problem last week, from sitting for so long w/o being driven, and after driving it around for a week it fixed itself, and the light went off...
You could try and help clean it, however i couldn't suggest what to use, or not to use, and where exactly to clean.
Considering you cleaned the wheels with cleaner, and then the light came on, it seems to me you covered the sensor with a bit of something... and it'll just take time to clean itself off... you could try a pressure washer into the wheel... i've done this before... however the light will stay on for a while even after you've cleaned it... it takes a day or so to go off on it's own.
