replacement radiator

1994 9000 Aero, manual transmission, Valeo (Blackburn) replacement radiator from eEuroparts.
My question regards two plastic plugs mounted on the rear, passenger-side of the radiator, on a vertical line between the small, overflow hose on the top of the vertical line and the cooling fan's temperature sensor on the bottom. The replacement radiator is identical to the original radiator, with the exception of these two, finger-diameter holes capped with the plastic plugs. I have no use for or application for these two holes.
My first inclination was to plug these two unused holes with something more substantial as I have little faith in plastic in a high-temp, pressurized application. However, the radiator is plastic.
To replace the plastic plugs with metal plugs, or just install, that is the question. Please let me know your opinions, and thank you in advance.
