floor the sucker to feel it from standing start. With the TD-04, the pickup at higher rpm and at highway speed is different. The 1991-2 9KT has better feel from standing start than the Aeros. When I bought my Aero in 1995, the dealer had a 1991 9KT 5-speed on the lot. I compared both cars on the same stretch of road, the '91 subjectively had better pickup from standing start than the Aero. I believe the '91 had a different final drive ratio than the Aero.
You may consider removing the center muffler and just ask a shop to bend a straight pipe while you're at it. You can save the center muffler section for your other 9Ks 8-).
I would just browse the classified section and see who's parting out a 5-speed Aero.
