Ari,
Not that big an issue Ari. I should be able to handle anything that is readily observable w/the naked eye. I responded asking for this info in the event there is anything unique or special about this procedure as I've never owned an automatic before this car.
I should also tell you I checked my transmission fluid back in December when this first occurred and it appeared fine at that time. I have not had time to examine the car since this time. No visible evidence of contamination from the engine coolant. The same was true of the engine coolant - no evidence of transmission fluid. I have a replacement filter, fluid and Lube Guard here once I have an additional look.
Your initial questions were also good. In Neutral the vehicle is loaded as it bogs as it attempts to move but no dice.
Is the parking pawl controlled by a solenoid?
I hope the car gods are with me on this one. Three major car failures in one season are a bit much for anyone to tolerate.
Thanks,
Rick
