Hey everyone. I've been running base boost on my '95 CSE Turbo for a couple years now but haven't done much about it until recently I've been swapping parts out of my '92 9KT rocketship to see what the problem is. Its not the APC selenoid, BOV, no vacuum leaks I can find. The wastegate is the original and looks to be in pretty bad shape, with a dent and lots and LOTS of rust. All I want is to be able to adjust the wastegate arm for a little more boost. I found a new one to put in but the one on the car currently is so badly rusted to the turbo that I'll have to remove the turbo to really get at it. I had an Elkparts MBC stiiting around and hooked it up to the wastegate vacuum line between the selenoid and Watstegate.

SO NOW...the car performs great; nice smooth power delivery, nothing crazy. BUT I'm wondering how this could potentially damage the engine. It ran fine before but no boost and I'm using this MBC as just a temporary fix until I can put on the new wastegate and adjust it for a little more boost (like to end of the yellow). What does everyone think? I would appreciate any insight. Thanks.
