Did your indy check for continuity of the wiring between the 3rd injector and the ecu??
Let me share a "man... you are a dumb a##" story that personally happened to me.
I too have a 1993 9000 Aero. After doing a head gasket change myself, my 1993 ran like crap. Both cylinder's 1 and 4 were not firing. I did everything... changed the DI; switch injectors; checked compression; check the wiring between the ecu and the injectors; check the wiring between the the main ecu and the ETS computer under the driver's seat; switched the ecu with another buddy's 1993 Aero ecu and still the same problems. I was getting really frustrated with this car. Then, one day a Saab buddy came over to help me figure out the problem. He suggested that we take out the plugs and look at them....sure enough... I tightened the spark plugs in cylinders 1 and 4 to hard. So hard that I cracked the porcelain insulators on both plugs. No wonder the car ran like a bag of crap!! And ya.... I asked my buddy for some "dumb a## vacine", but he didn't have any with him at the time! ;)
So... what can you learn from my stupidity??? Check the basics. Check the DI (if you can... swap it with another one). Check the plugs.. make sure they look nice and are not crack! ;) Check the wiring between injector #3 and the ecu. Also, swap injector #3 with another injector (say cylinder #1's injector) and see if the problem moves to cylinder #1
DON'T GIVE UP..... go get em!!!!
Anyhow.. that is my 2 cents... hope it helps!
