air in clutch hydraulics-- long

I have a 91 9000 turbo. I recently replaced the clutch master cylinder with an aftermarket part (Lockheed or TRW, I think). I blead the clutch under pressure using a modified garden sprayer device that I built years ago.
The clutch worked fine for a few months. Then one morning the pedal was squishy. The next morning it went to the floor without actuating the clutch. I blead the clutch again, and there were bubbles that came out quickly. That is, I think the trapped air was in the slave cylinder.
The clutch worked fine for about a month. Then I had the same problem again.
It could be a defective master cylinder or perhaps the slave cylinder is going bad. I have not noticed any obvious fluid leaks.
Should I try another master cylinder (maybe OEM Saab)before I tackle the bigger job of replacing the slave? Is there some troubleshooting procedure that will help me find the source of the problem short of replacing parts one at a time?
Thanks
