Warped rotors, what gives?

So I replaced my rotors about a year ago. Now they are warped, with a lot of pedal pulsations from 40-25 mph. I used solid Brembo's with PBR Deluxe pads, and I was careful to bed them in early. Why does this happen? I don't go through puddles, I don't drive like a maniac, and I use a torque wrench to tighten my lug bolts, even right after I got new tires, it was the first thing I did. I am going to replace the front rotors soon, and would love to hear any suggestions on preventing this from happening. Are Zimmermans better i.e have less of a tendency to warp? Thanks.
