Hi,

SIince two days i have a problem with my 97 9000 2.0 lpt. While driving on the highway 100 km/h the Check engine came on. At home i checked the ECU and got P0171. After checking internet i checked all the vacuum hoses they all looked oke, i replaced the one to the MAP sensor and the one to the fuel presure regulator to be safe any way. I cleared the DTC and i drove a few miles no problem. The next morning the light came on instantly. THis was really weired since the engine was still off. So i found out that when you clear the DTC while the engine is on no problem the check engine stays off. once you switch of the ignition and switch it back on after 10 sec . the light comes on without cranking the engine. Thats something i do not understand.

The ECU is read and cleard using an elm 327 based tool various tools they all clear the light but it comes on before the engine is running.

It is even weirder since the engine is running on LPG (prins VSI). and it gives the error on both LPG and gasoline ?????

any sugestions any one i 'm really stuck with this one.
