I went back and looked at your previous posts, and there is one thing you might check. Look at the rubber elbows on the induction system downstream of the turbo. I had the lower elbow (turbo to intercooler) spring a leak on my 1990 Turbo, and the elbow that connects to the throttle body had a small leak on my 1991 Turbo. It is also possible that there is a leak in the intercooler, but that would be hard to find.
What made me think of this is that you mentioned a whooshing sound on acceleration, which I certainly had on my 1991. Because the pipe would only leak during high boost, the traditional method for locating an air leak (spray fuel injection cleaner on the suspected area and listen for idle speed increase)did not work.
In both cases, the cars ran poorly under full boost.
