I am trying to isolate a battery drain on the 1991 9kt that I recently purchased. I have isolated the problem to the circuit that contains the trip computer and ACC system controls. When I disconnect the large plug from the ACC unit, the drain stops.
Upon further research, I also found that the dash sensor/fan was disconnected by the prior owner. When I reconnected it, it ran constantly.
I disconnected the sensor/fan, but the current draw still exists. It only is stopped when I disconnect the ACC unit. I have swapped another ACC unit and the fan still runs constantly and the draw still exists. Is there a relay somewhere for this unit? I looked behind the glovebox and removed every relay, but to no avail.
Anyway, I am VERY open to any suggestions.
Thanks,
Dan
