What I've done on my '91 9000 and my '93 900 is clean the connections really good. Brake cleaner is good. I coat them with JB Weld - the 24 hour kind. Don't use the quick set. Make sure to cover the rubber hose where it enters the connections. It sticks really well to both the rubber and the metal. You can use the car, but don't use the AC for 24 hours. If you think the hose is leaking at a point other than the joint, clean it and coat it. Advance Auto sells large tubes for around $10 and small tubes for around $3. It's worked for me for quite some time. I no longer see dirty oil. If it don't work, you're only out $10, which will be a lot cheaper than the $500 or $600 to replace the hoses.
