Instrument cluster and clutch problems Posted by Saab_Story [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I recently bought a new 88 9000 turbo with a manual transmission to replace my worn out old '87 9000 turbo with an automatic. This car has 101000 miles on it, I got it for $100. The first problem is when I turn on the engine the instrument cluster goes whacky the tach works fine but on the digital dispay screen under the speedometer, all of the numbers, lights, & warngings stay on while the engine is running. is this a prblem with the instrument cluster? maybe some wiring problems? The next problem is the clutch, it worked before but now it doesn't disengage. when I press the clutch pedal and turn the engine over the whole car lunges forward because the clutch isnt lifting off of the flywheel. What is the problem here? should I try to bleed the hydraulic clutch line? I don't know what to do, this is my first time with a 9000 with a manual.
Thanks
Kyle
