I have used a product called SD-20. It is a formulated foam that dissolves dirt, grease, paint, rubber marks, and even fingerprints from washable surfaces. Sounds like and ad for SD-20, doesn’t it! But seriously I use this on all the black trim work on my 93 Aero. Sometimes I will wait for 15 to 20 minutes and then will apply a small amount of Amour All, Son of Gun, or a similar brand to the trim and it looks new for about 3 to 4 car washes. The only way to return it to its original luster is to paint. SD-20 is made by Spartan and how I came by it was through a wholesale distributor that serviced a local new car lot. You could probably find it through Google or another search engine.
