inner CV boot...do i have wrong part ?

1990 2.3T left (driver) side inner driver. Replacing inner driver/tripod and thus new boot. Pulled tripod,slide new boot onto axle,replaced tripod, applied grease...but cannot no way no how get the new boot stretched onto inner driver. Had four hands and a vice to hold...jsut cannot do it. Suspect wrong part and will check w/ local parts supplier tomorrow. However, looking on eEuro and other parts sites, I find only one boot. Has anyone exp this difficulty?
