As you know, Nokian WR's are an all-season tire, and everybody says they're great in the snow, but I thought they were so-so. However, they're probably better than pretty much every other all-season tire. All seasons are not that great in snow in a heavier car. They work OK for something like a VW Golf.
The Nokian WR's are on my wife's 9-5 wagon, but we were slightly disappointed with their traction on snow and ice. We got her some Blizzaks on separate wheels and just finished wearing out the WR's in summer driving. We'll replace the WR's with Nokian NRVi's. That way you get excellent hot weather/rain traction, and excellent in the snow. We're in Wisconsin, BTW.
