This is interesting. Just yesterday I saw a brand new Bentley continental (Flying Spur?) on I-78 heading toward Manhattan. This is after reading an article on either the Time magazine or Newsweek a few days earlier about the increase number of the rich is making those $170k and up cars quite common on the street. For $170k, the Continental look unassumingly plain. If I didn't pay attention I could have mistaken it for a Chrysler 300.
I wonder if the owner of those kind of cars ever bother to even open the hood of the car to look inside. If I can afford a $170k car, I probably also want a chauffeur to take me places. Actually my time would probably be so precious in monetary terms it is economical to hire one.
Yet slobs like me is still content keeping my time occupied trying to maintain my aging fleet. Sorry for the rambling. I think there will be far fewer Jag owners who turn their own wrenches. Site like this? Not likely.
