Hi all,

There were a couple of items in the 1991 9K 5 speed turbo hatch that gave it the aka as the Aero. It came with the Aero wheels stock, it had an upgraded suspension, it had the low gearing that gave it fast acceleration. It did *NOT* have the later true Aero 225/258 engine. It had the 200/237 engine. The Auto version had 200/218. Check the quasi site for more fine points. The real deal Aero came out in 1993 1/2 in the US. Also, the earlier car uses the DI/APC system, NOT the T5 that game out in 1993 1/2 or so...

Basically it's a good car, got one version of the Aero wheels at a song, goes fast fast because of the gearing, doesn't allow T5 tuning, doesn't get the same milage (due to the gearing mostly...), uses all of the same stuff that the 1991-1993 9000's do (more target at la junke yarde) and is still a great car.

I've got that car bracketed.... I have three 1992 9000CDT autos, a 1994 9000AT 5sp, and a 9000AT 5sp. They all haul asteroids... but the 5 speed Aero with it's base engine is a rush... and then if you do some upgrades hold on to your hat....
