Would certainly appreciate some help from the Saab gurus on identifying this problem/problems. I have just acquired the car less than a month ago, it is my first Saab ('93 9000 CSE) on the way home from the purchase the clutch went (bad sign). Have the car back on the road and I am using it as my daily driver.
This problem had presented itself on several occassions since I have had it on the road. Problem 1, while highway driving avg speed 60-65 the car will just suddenly lose power (like it lost fuel, electrical connection severed, ect.) none of that being the case? That issue last for just a second and then everything is strong and stable again? Not a consistant problem maybe once a day, or once a week? Any ideas?
Problem 2, perhaps related, this power loss issue has presented itself more often this past week, almost like something holding the car back? (if that makes sense) but not a missfire. The car has suddenly began to lose RPM's also at idle, but will mostly catch itself before stall point. Most recently last evening the car now is bucking somewhat erratically through 2nd gear but will eventually pull out of it as RPM's and speeds increase.
Problems: split second loss of power, inconsistant idle (only occassionally) and bucking and jerking at lower city light to light driving speeds.
Any help would be most appreciated. In a past life my focus had mainly been spent with V-8 Muscle, so this is deffinately new technology to me. But I really like and enjoy the car and want to keep it running as it should.
