Brake Fluid Lamp? (yeah, its full) and clutch bleeding

Ok, i just did an engine-out maintainance in a new-to-me 1988 9000T.
Now the Brake Fluid lamp is on. (not the abs light) Brakes are stiff, but i think that existed before (is that normal ABS? it feels too stiff) I did remove all the fluid from the reservoir with a syringe prior to disassembly. I figured the float was stuck or something, and took it for a drive, but it didn't help.
I managed to get the mityvac fit to the brake reservoir to bleed the clutch, got it working, but engagement is near the floor. Do i just keep bleeding it? should this be two person? i've been just pressure bleeding it by myself.
Thanks,
Simon S
