Your love of the 900 is in danger..
Once you start driving the 9000, the 900 will seem dated and rough around the edges.
The 9000 is a much more refined vehicle, quieter, more comfortable.
The best metaphor would be a hot rod vs a gentleman's touring car.
The Aero is a bit tighter riding than the regular 9000.
As with any 10 year old car, there will be maintanance issues, but not too bad, a 97 would be the year of choice. Most everything had been worked out after over 10 years production, better ABS, no TCS, best powertrain.
I made the switch twice, first in 89 (84 900T to family car 88 9000S), and again while my wife went through her mini-van stage (87 CVT to 96 9000cs to 94 Aero).
The best advice is to buy from the 1st owner if at all possible. Get the service records.
Things to look out for,ie maintanance $,
heater core(sweet smell) $200, motor, core and hoses
Trans problems (but the 9000 trans is much better than the 900)
head gasket (just like the 900)
