Henry, you made me go out to retrieve the contact unit I threw away today in the garbage can on curb side. I spent the better part of the day today cleaning out my garage so at least one car can come in for the winter.

Yes the harness has a plastic pin to cancel the blinker when you rotate the steering wheel back to straight.

Now I remember where I saw the installation instructions. On the contact unit the following instructions are printed.

"warning!, before assembly aligh front wheel straight ahead and ensure the contact unit is in the central position (2.5 turns from the clockwise contact unit stop.) See service manual 8:6 Airbag."
