on the front, because I can't get Bridgestone S-03s over here any more. I had F1s on my old '93 with an Abbott suspension and ran them at 36½ psi to firm up the floppy sidewalls. They did a good job of toning down the hard suspension on that car. You ran them at 45 psi - well, I'm not surprised you didn't like them that hard.
Have to say that I'm really liking them this time round, 205/55-16 at the standard 35 psi plus Road Handling Kit = Aero suspension on my '97 Anniversary. Will chuck the car around at the weekend to see how they stand up to a little hard work.
Agree with you about the wear and the fuel consumption, alas. So many tyres, so many opinions...
