Alfa 164 was certainly one of the platforms desiged alongside the 9000 (with Lancia Thema, Fiat Croma) but I gather it has a different front suspension with angled struts to help keep the Pininfarina bodyshell lower. They used Konis or Bilsteins as standard rather than the Boges. The Fiat, Saab and I think the Lancia had Giugiaro styling.
