Auto climate control gets stuck on heat?? sometimes

on my 94 Aero the temp will sometimes get stuck on Heat, the rest of the system (fans etc) works normally, and If I recalibrate it goes back to normal. it's like the heater valve gets stuck inthe open position, as the car gets hot the fans spee up as it tried to cool down but it just blows hot. I get no faults when I recalibrate and about half way thru the calibration the heat shuts off and when it's done it works normal.
I have swapped the control panel and interior temp sensor with no change in opperation (although I don't know for sure the new parts are good) this is becoming more frequent and becoming a pain. any ideas? I am going to try to get a buddy to put the Isat on it but not sure when he can do it, and with my luck it will be working normally and it won't show any faults
