...I can't recall the specifics, or whether it would be applicable to your car, but there was talk sometime in the past of a sensor for a Ford Mustang that could be used in place of the Saab unit at greatly reduced price. I think you have to solder the wires to the existing harness, and it may be that this sensor was for a turbo engine???
Otherwise you may find it convenient just to source a new sensor from eEuroparts or the like. It may also be adviseable to have a muffler shop, or other mechanic, do the installation because the sensor can be a real bear to remove after years of service.
I'd say if you can locate a sensor for $150 or thereabouts you are probably not doing too badly, and you might find one for a lot less. I would probably stick with a Bosch since that's original equipment, and avoid "universal" sensors, since they might not perform as well, but again a check of the archives is probably in order so you can make a decision you're most comfortable with.
