Sounds like that's what you're saying. Is it a ticking or a tapping sound? If it sounds like it's coming from deep inside the engine, then it could be the bearings. You could disconnect one injector plug at a time, rev the engine to see if the noise dampens/quietens, the reconnect and go to the next one. If the sound dampens while an injector is disco'd then the big end bearing on that piston is toast and will need changing. Timing chain rattles when going south, valve guides usually smoke when Tango Uniform (and can only be diagnosed with a vacuum gauge) and you don't have to remove the oil pan to change the valve guides(!). Ticking valves usually can be clearly heard under the valve cover. Some have switched to a higher viscosity oil to remedy this problem. BTW, what oil weight do you use (10W-40 etc...)
