...the passage of 150,000 miles in my 97 Aero Maptun St3.
I have travelled almost 100,000 miles ensconsed in those £1,400 each Recaro seats (and they are Recaros - I have had them out of the car twice to repair the heaters and repad the drivers side, and they have labels on them...) and continue to enjoy every journey.
So...plans for this year:
ACC bulbs
front foglight blub (arghhh!)
wishbone end caps (eh? why should they fail...?)
recondition alloys
new springs and dampers to tighten things up
new battery (not liking the damp and cold at the moment)
respray top of back bumper, and do something with the peeling rubber trim (any ideas...?)
full clay and wax in the Spring
feed leather
sort a couple of dash rattles
bluetooth kit
A-pillar pod for boost guage (rather than my current velcro bodge...)
That's all I can think of - not much wrong with it at all, and would expect another 150,000 with ease. Turbo has started to whistle more noticeably, but I have not lost any boost.
Sorry to bore you. Might add up what this car has cost me during its life in my ownership. Actually, probably don't want to know. Only stranded twice (clutch line and fuel pump) touch wood.
If a huge pay rise gets me that Audi RS6 Avant Plus I want this year, then I will be leaving the SAAB fold. Can't see it myself...
Enough of that.
