I'm assuming you have manual transmission and a 2.3 200bhp engine in your '91. But do you have the Trionic T5 engine management system? I thought this started with the 1993 model year - in which case the box presumably won't fit your car, let alone do anything. Also, even if it does, you won't have the Aero's larger Mitsubishi turbo for the ECU to exploit.

Whether TCS (traction control) is fitted is also a factor when swapping ECUs but I think your engine management system is so different that this is a non-starter, sadly.

Many people seem to think the '91 turbo got off the mark quicker than the Aero anyway, partly because of the lower final drive ratio, so you already own a fast car and something of a classic.
