Serpentine belt tensioner

This is an 86 9000 Turbo.
I've been getting some squealing while driving off in the morning. Serpentine driver pulley appears very shiny. Belt depresses fairly easily, though not apparently different than the belt in another 86 I'm running.
So, hoping it's not the harmonic balancer squealing, I thought I'd tighten the serpentine first and see.
First off, the hex head on the idler bolt was 15 mm, and would not budge until I used a lever system. Even then, it didn't feel right, as if loctited. I was afraid to shear it, and went to another 86 9000 for a comparison. The bolt on it had a 13 mm head, and loosened, (right hand), quite easily.
Saabnet search found several mentions of left hand thread on this bolt, but years were much later.
I then tried a left hand thread removal, but three quarters of a turn clockwise felt just as wrong. So, I probably now have damaged threads/bolt.
Does anyone have knowledge of this 13 mm/15 mm, right thread/left thread situation?
Peter
