Since I don't know the year and engine of your car it is no use listing part numbers.
It's always a good idea to throw in the year/model/engine/transmission in your post for accurate answers since it takes time to back track through posts, trying to figure out what car the poster have.

If your car have a 4 wire O2 sensor, YOU MUST use a 4 wire O2 sensor. These were installed in 96 and up as part of the OBD2 system.

Before 96 it was 3 wire sensor used.

The 3 wire sensor is easier to deal with since they are more forgiving. The computer system in those cars were not as finnicky and you can use different ones. I do prefer using the Bosch 3 wire sensor though.

When it comes to 4 wire sensor it gets a lot more complicated since it is many different ones out there with different heating elements and different car models with more or less sensitive computers.

If using a universal 4 wire splice in sensor you do need to know about measuring the resistance of the heating element since just a few Ohm might trigger a fault code on some car models.

The best is to use the proper Bosch sensor for that model.
