I had the same problem in my 96 9000CS Turbo. I know there will always be a debate over which octane fuel is better. However, I was running 87 octane fuel, but recently switched to 92 octane. The VERY noticeable differences are smoother idle, better acceleration, and easier starts. I haven't noticed any change in gas mileage though. Since the engine adjusts timing and fuel mixture depending on knock, it would make sense that it would run better, since the 92 octane take less to ignite.
