hello there,

i hate it when a post of mine goes unanswered, so i always like to try and lend a hand, even if i don't have much info.

i had a 90 9kt, with power seats, not the memory ones, just power adjust.

the seat back angle adjust motorS (there were two of them) malfunctioned one time, and since only one was working, the seat would only twist back and forth on one side.

I had to get under it and manually crank the motor i believe so the angle was correct.

eventually i found a solution to fix the problem.

the motors on my car are round cylanders, with cables sticking out of them. or the seat back ones were anyways.

the cables are black plastic things, about the diameter of a nickel.

inside of them is a flexible metal driveshaft, that spins the gears for the seat back.

the seat forward and rear motor may be the same way, or it could be geared directly to the seat track.

make sure there is nothing in the seats way, make sure there is nothing clogging the gears in any way, there can be a lot of spare change floating around down there that would be a show stopper for the seat gears and track, if you know what i mean.

then i'd try the manual crank. it's a pain to find, but it's there. the manual crank tool should be in your trunk tool kit, if you still have it. it's a flexible metal wire on a handle. you stick it into a hole on the motor and crank it.

worst case scenario, you have to unbolt the seat and get a better look...

but for now, try raising it up so you can see under it.
