The commutator is part of a DC motor or generator. The alternator is an AC generator and has an equivalent part called the slip rings. The slip rings connect to the rotor windings, but the polarity of the windings doesn't change as the rotor moves. The slip rings are smooth while the commutator on a DC motor is segmented so that as the rotor turns the rotor windings reverse.
To answer your question, you must disassemble the alternator, remove the bearing using a hydraulic press, unsolder the slip rings, press them off, press on the new slip ring, solder the new slip rings to the windings, press on a new bearing, and reassemble the alternator. That is, of course, you can obtain the slip rings as a replacement part.
Why do you thing you need new slip rings? If the rings are that worn, the bearings are probably bad, too. Most alternators are rejuvenated by replacing voltage regulator which includes a brand new set of brushes.
If the alternator really needs slip rings, I would recommend a rebuilt alternator.
