I pulled it off last night! It turned out the 10hp was actually a 7hp, so it was a bit smaller than I expected (although still a beast... must be 20+ years old, weighed a ton). It went in fine, we actually used some ramps to roll it right in, and the snow chute cleared the headliner by a couple inches without removing it (height was just over 30", the 9000's opening is about 32" high). If I'd bothered to take the handle off, I think I could have pushed it forward and shut the hatch, instead I just tied the hatch down and hit the road. Made a second trip to retrieve an almost identical 5hp.
Thanks again for all the tips. Henry, the Aero seats actually do crush down pretty well with some weight on them. I have done this before for short periods of time, and although they temporarily deform a bit they seem to come back to normal fine. Still wouldn't do it to a pristine automobile but mine has been on "Swedish truck" for a while already.
