Slave cylinder leaking into tranny? Posted by Chadwick [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Hey everyone,
I have a 91 9000T. Brand new tranny plus slave from SAAB USA in apr 06. Clutch recently went to the floor, changed master and all was well. Happened again about a week later. No noticeable fluid loss, thought perhaps defective master, changed again. Now the clutch pedal again has no pressure after a liter of bleeding w/ motive pressure bleeder from eeuro. The fluid has to be leaking internally as there is no fluid loss onto the ground whatsoever. Is it possible for the slave to leak internally into the trans case? I checked the fluid level of the tranny but honestly I cannot see the level on the small dipstick. The tranny came loaded with gear lube which has a very distinctive smell therefore I cannot differentiate the fluids via smell. Good news is that the slave, which came from SAAB, is under warranty with the tranny, just looking for some ideas of where all this fluid is going!
