Your car isn't running boost all the time, so RoddyD is suggesting you buy a gauge that will display vacuum as well as boost.
He's abolutely right - I have such a gauge in place of the clock just as you plan to do, and apart from anything else it's fascinating to watch the Saab's seamless transition from 0.5 bar vacuum to say 0.8 bar boost - a very clever trick when you think what's involved.
Also, some people have experienced problems with gauges that can't display both vacuum and boost if that's what the car is feeding them.
