I hope not, and if you did you may still have the ability to fight it....

GET A LAWYER, and ask the DMV if there is an insurance commision in your state.

In NY as in many others, the insurance company can offer you anything, BUT YOU have the right to fight it, as you are the customer...

I would say without seeing the car previous to accident that you should accept no less than $1000 off the KBB or NADA high retail....PLUS TAX...

They ALWAYS low-ball you, and people take it, because it is a hardship to be without a car...

I ALWAYS have $$ on hand for other transportation...and can always go out and buy a beater for fights with insurance....

I have had 3 cars totaled in 3 years, all totaled by other drivers hitting me, and every time the insurance company tried to screw me, and everytime I got what I wanted... 3- 900 turbos, and I did not get any less than $2700 each time, the most being $3200 for my 90 900T with almost 300k on the clock.
