Three bolts hold the strut bearing to the body. The spring is integral to the strut. No reason to remove the spring if all you are going to do is install the strut in the next car. Make sure the weight is off the wheel when you attempt to remove the lower strut bolts. A drift pin should drive the bolts out if they are siezed in the hub mount.
I have a good set of struts for a 9000, recently switched to the sport suspension, if you need them.
