I have a set of NRVIs (205/55x16) on Aero rims on my '96 CSE. These ride well, good steering feedback, low noise, amazing in rain, pretty high cornering limits and a gradual breakaway. Seem to wear well, although I have only about 6K on them. They are a summer tire, though. Not happy in winter.
I like Nokians because their quality control is very high. Mine were $500 for four, mounted, balanced, stems, insurance.
You'll get lots on opinions on tires here. I believe tires are real important and that you get what you pay for. However, since you can't drive different tires back to back on your car you really have to listen to what people have to say here. Are $125 tires twice as good as $60 tires? Probably not. Are they better? You bet. It's just what you decide to spend money on. The place I get mine also sells Bridgestones and a couple others. The owner thinks Nokians are much better, but even at the same price points, tells me people buy Bridgestones because they've heard of them, and Nokian has low brand recognition.
My $0.02.
