...you happen to have a 91-93 model year. Those years had issues with the balance shaft chain sprockets which could allow the balance shaft chain to break, taking out the timing chain with it.
Even in those cases, however, I wouldn't make much of a priority out of the chains, since fixing chains probably involves more expense than those whole cars are worth in the used market.
For newer vintages, I wouldn't start worrying about your chain unless there's a lot of undue noise in that area AND you are positive it's not one of the other common noisemakers that often lead to misdiagnosis (i.e., serpentine belt tensioner shock, automatic transmission flex plate, etc.).
If, on the other hand, you have a head gasket job coming up, you might consider the job then. What year is your car, and do you have a particular suspicion about your timing chain? Or are you just looking for some preemptive maintenance tips? If the latter, as long as the car's running well and not making nerve-wracking sounds, I'd just drive on.
