My heater core has been leaking and smelling up the inside of the car. I have also had to add coolant a couple of times. Question.. If the temperature selector is set to cold does water still flow thru the heater core? I want to replace the core but will not have have a garage available for several months. If coolant does not flow through the core when set on cold I can wait and do the repair myself. No ACC.
