When using the grease, just make sure you put it on thr female plug end (Without the prongs). Smear a little on the holes and wipe clean the grease on the surface. You just want to get the grease across the separate contacts. Don't bridge!!! Never thought to use it, but I would think it couldn't hurt "UNLESS" you were to bridge! Dielectric grease is for anti- corrosive and moisture protection.
