The fact that you get spark means the ignition switch is OK - it supplies power to the DI, ECU and fuel system.
Pull the fuel pump fuse (14). While trying to crank the engine, check the voltage BETWEEN the two fuse connections. If you see zero volts, the fuel pump relay isn't even trying to close. If you see 12 volts or so, then the fuel pump relay contacts are burned and pitted, and can't pass enough current to get the pump to run. Either replace the relay or pop off the case and clean up the contacts.
If the fuel pump relay isn't trying to close, then I'd suspect the anti-theft device or the crank position sensor. But follow the troubleshooting tree I provided - it will be very valid for a '97.
