More help needed on oil starved 94 9000CDE

Hi again. I saw that in the oil pan the oil is like jelly or paste. You can stir it and it turns back to liquid. The engine was oil starved. Is there anything I can run through the engine to try to flush out the clumpy oil deposits that are in it. I would like to save my car. The shop also took loose a rod bearing and said it was blue. Also they cut off the catalytic converter to get the oil pan off. Is this correct on a Saab? Thank you for any info, Kim J
