i still have that. other than a cracked boot, as far as i know it was ok... when i cleaned that right cup i didn't notice anything obvious, but i can certainly check. i don't mind changing axles now that i've done it a few times. the cup i'm not sure about, i guess it's just removing that bracket and getting the circlip off and hoping it pops/pulls out...
pulling the cup from the auto tranny doesn't appeal to me. i had to swap the housing from my old auto tranny (non-turbo tranny) into the new turbo tranny that I put in last winter so my axle would fit and it was messy. i still have the new turbo cup/housing, i suppose there might be a way to put it back in and play with axle sizes on the drivers side to make it work in my non-turbo car?
my fingers are crossed it's just a bad axle. years ago, i did have a vibe show up after i had a bad rebuilt axle put in my old subaru once, but it wasn't nearly this noticeable.
