and very easy because your '97 is all pre-wired. You will need to hit Ebay or Neo Brothers/Two Stroke to Turbo/Simply Saab (or your choice of used parts purveyor) for the cruise boxy thing, which comes with a Bowden cable attached: a cruise-enabled indicator lever: one or two pedal switches depending on whether you have auto or manual: and a small wiring loom to join the switch(es) to the fixed wiring. Everything is pre-wired, there is a mounting for the box of tricks, the switches clip into existing brackets and fitting is embarassingly easy. Over the weekend I'll put a few notes together and post them.
If looking second-hand, you should know that the cruise actuator box is the same for both I4 and V6 cars but the cable is different. You can change the cables over very easily. I got my cruise from a dead Griffin in Luton and had to do this. Also, if you buy used pedal switches, make sure they have both the plastic lugs intact or they'll move out of alignment.
