Thanks for the input!
The mechanic provided 3 repair ideas.
1. Get a new bracket from Saab and replace. Besides being expensive I'm a bit worried that it would break again sometime.
2. Take out the broken bracket and weld it, and replace. Cheaper, and it might end up stronger than the original.
3. The mechanic mentioned the possibility of welding it back together in place, in the car. I didn't know this was even possible, but if so, that's the cheapest way. We'll see if they feel it can be done, and I'll update the post when I know more.
The prices for the last two options weren't too bad... I guess repairs can always be more than expected though. Too bad this came up now, I've been saving for a new exhaust before winter shows up.
