I live in Florida and have the 92 available. It s a fact, Trionic can adjust but higher octane makes these 2.3's sing (I have Aero autobox)
Anyway, I have even experimented with partial fill-ups of regular. I have run all regular a few times - I can hear knocking on acceleration.
I usually run mid-grade now unless prices drop and then I will top with premium.
I also use my mixology techniques during oil changes - 2 quarts 20/50 weight and two 10/40 - good for the high temps in Miami. Non synthetic at 3500 mile intervals is my mantra.
My father runs octane booster in his '67 Autin Healy 3000 - I do not have experience with it in the Saab and will be watching replies to your posting.
